Mr. Daniel Bonilla is a native of Costa Rica and is recognized as a leader in training and program development for immigrant communities in the United States. Mr. Bonilla has created lending and entrepreneurship programs for governmental entities and non-profits, as well as provided business technical assistance to low-income communities both in the U.S and internationally.
Daniel most recently worked in Business Development for the City of Minneapolis, where he created economic development programs and worked with clients in the creation and expansion of their businesses. Prior to that, he worked as Associate Human Resources Manager for General Mills, a Fortune 500 company where he created tools such as a team effectiveness guide and a peer-to-peer assessment to identify developmental opportunities and increase team work effectiveness.
Daniel also worked as the Director for the Latino Academy TTOIC at the Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC) in Minneapolis. He developed successful innovative and culturally-relevant approaches that empowered entrepreneurs. Bonilla's efforts have positively impacted over 700 small-to-medium-sized businesses and trained 800 individuals per year to improve their skills to obtain a job.
In addition, Daniel has worked for MR Associates, providing consulting for Human Development and Organizational Changes related to quality in services and internal communication improvements for various corporations like American Airlines, Toyota, Colgate, and Budget Rental, as well as with organizations, small businesses, and churches located in Costa Rica, Guatemala, and the United States.
Mr. Bonilla is Green Belt Lean Six Sigma Certified, has an MBA in Human Capital at the Carlson School of Management, an MBA from St. Thomas University, an MBA in Marketing at the Universidad Latina de Costa Rica, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economic Planning. Mr. Bonilla is an NALCAB El Colegio Alumni.
